4-H MEMBER ON A MISSION
by Amy Heck

White County 4-H’er Madi Claire Jackson, of the El Paso 4-H Club, has been on a mission for quite sometime. For a community service project, Madi Claire began collecting tabs from soft drink cans. It became a passion for Madi Clair, who recruited her grandpa to help her collect them. She began by collecting the tabs and putting them in a large plastic water barrel.

Madi Claire recently filled up the barrel and with the help of a friend, counted every tab collected. She had a whopping 11,053 tabs. She turned them in to White County 4-H and they will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House to be sold for cash to benefit the non-profit organization.

The White County 4-H program is based on leadership and community service. All projects and activities incorporate all or both into their programs.

Arkansas 4-H is open to all youth between the ages of 5 and 19 without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, gender, disability, or any other legally protected status. Anyone of eligible ages can be a member of a community 4-H club and/or a county-wide 4-H club.
