Missed connections, comedy of errors, and loveable comedic characters are in store for Dessert Theater audiences at Center on the Square in Searcy. All in the Timing by David Ives offers an enjoyable evening of dessert and comedy at the Center’s historic court square location. Performances are scheduled for July 11-12 and 18-19 with curtain at 7 p.m. and dessert and coffee buffet at intermission.

All in the Timing, an evening of four one-acts, ranges from farce to satire and was an off-Broadway hit. Featured in the cast are Alex Blair, Luke Jones, Erin Lowery, Rachel Filbeck, and Jerry LaFevers. They are under the direction of husband and wife team, Ben and Morgan Scharff, who also perform in the show.

Dessert Theater, a tradition seven years in the making, features delicious home-made desserts made by board members and volunteers as well as wonderful gourmet coffees.

Center on the Square Executive Director Lana Hallmark said Dessert Theater is one of the favorite events of the year. “Because it’s not a full buffet, Dessert Theater gives folks an introduction to the dinner theater experience at much less cost. This year’s show promises to be the most entertaining yet, and will feature some of the tastiest treats of the summer.”

Reservations are available now by contacting Center on the Square in Searcy at 501-368-0111. Admission is $15 per person and requires 24 hour advance reservations. Those who purchase 10th anniversary season tickets before July 1st will receive Dessert Theater tickets free.
